Did you know that your LinkedIn profile is one of the first – Screen Shot 2013-02-17 at 12.38.50 PM
if not *the* first – things that people see when they  Google you? Now think about your half-completed LinkedIn profile. Or, even worse, your non-existent profile.

Is that the image you want to broadcast to potential employers, clients, colleagues or students?

Probably not!

Sound familiar?

Hi, Cate here. I created my LinkedIn profile a few years ago. I uploaded my photo, added the universities I’ve attended, typed in the names of the organizations I’ve worked for, and connected my Twitter feed.

Then, I promptly forgot about LinkedIn.

Until recently, the only time I thought about LinkedIn was when I accepted a connection request. At which point I’d see my pitiful profile and make a promise to update it. Next time. When I’m not so busy. After I’ve updated my resume. (Sound familiar?)

I never got around to it because updating my LinkedIn profile seemed overwhelming. Time-consuming. Boooooring! And I wasn’t really sure what I could gain, professionally or personally, from LinkedIn. And then I Googled myself. Sure enough, my awful LinkedIn profile came up 1st or 2nd in the search results.

So I started thinking…what if I took tiny steps every couple days towards updating my LinkedIn profile? Small actions that would add up to something big? Would anyone else be interested in doing the same thing?

Turns out the answer was yes!

Last summer I created a popular email class that helped intercultural and international education professionals update their LinkedIn profile. Sabrina took part in that class while she was working in Europe and approached me with some ideas for expanding this offering.

We’re thrilled to now offer you two webinars and a coaching option to accompany the updated 10 Days to an Awesome LinkedIn Profile e-class.

What we’ve got for you

1. 10 Days to an Awesome LinkedIn Profile {E-class}

2. LinkedIn for Success {Webinar}

3. Personal Profile Review {Feedback}

Get the details below…

#1 — 10 Days to an Awesome LinkedIn Profile {E-class}

In this class you’ll get 10 step-by-step Actions that guide you through the process of taking your LinkedIn profile from awful to awesome. We’ll break down the task of updating your profile into manageable sized pieces, and help take the stigma out of ‘selling yourself’. You’ll create an awesome LinkedIn profile that truly reflects who are and your abilities.

As soon as you register for the class you’ll receive your first Action to complete. Every 3-4 days after that a new Action will be delivered to your inbox. Each Action describes one step you can take to enhance your LinkedIn profile (no fluff!). Each Action is delivered right to your inbox, takes 10 minutes or less to complete, and will make a huge impact on your LinkedIn profile.

Got more than 10 minutes? Want to really rock your LinkedIn profile? We’ve got you covered. Every Action includes a Bonus Action.  You choose how much you want to improve your profile, and of course the team is here to back you up and give you feedback.

Content and flow was great, very practical, well-paced.

Excellent organization and logistics. The small steps with bonus steps were perfect – simple, clear, easy-to-do. Very personalized.

Perfect level of formal professionalism and ‘down-to-earthness.’ Great content and examples. I don’t normally like email courses, but yours was well organized and you presented the information in a way that made it easier to understand the role of each part of the profile.

Thanks! I believe that we all need to continuously improve our online presence, and this is a very pleasant and practical way to do it.
